House Cadix
The House Cadix has a long history in the historic city centre of Mechelen. At the end of the 18th century, Henri Diu, an important merchant, unified a series of buildings in the Régence style. A later transformation into a school and monastery made the building lose its spatial unity. After the careful reopening of the lost axis and the reorganisation of the internal layout following the heritage values of the 18th century, the building regained its value for its new eleven residents.
